Fruit Selection

We source only the freshest, ripest pink guavas from local Caribbean farms. Each fruit is hand-selected at peak ripeness, ensuring the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. Our guavas are harvested in small batches throughout the season to maintain the highest quality.

Premium Rum Base

Our signature silver rum serves as the foundation, aged for a minimum of two years in oak barrels. This creates a smooth, balanced base with subtle vanilla and caramel notes that perfectly complement the tropical guava flavors without overpowering them.

Natural Infusion

Rather than using artificial flavors, we employ a proprietary cold-infusion process where the fresh guava puree is immersed in our rum for several weeks. This gentle method extracts the vibrant flavor compounds and natural sugars from the fruit while preserving their delicate aromatic qualities.

Harmonization Period

After the initial infusion, we allow the rum to rest for an additional 30 days. During this critical harmonization phase, the flavors meld together, creating a cohesive flavor profile where the guava and rum notes integrate perfectly rather than competing with each other.

Filtration & Bottling

The final product undergoes a special cold-filtration process to remove any sediment while preserving the full flavor profile. Each bottle is then filled, sealed, and individually numbered by hand, reflecting the limited production of this specialty rum and our commitment to artisanal craftsmanship.

I'm usually skeptical of flavored rums because they're often too sweet or artificial tasting, but The Big Cane's Guava Rum is truly exceptional. The flavor is authentic and natural—you can really taste that they use real fruit. It's sweet but not cloying, with this wonderful tanginess that balances everything perfectly. I've been making incredible daiquiris with it, and it's also delicious just on ice with a splash of soda water.

Great flavor and definitely uses real guava, which I appreciate. The bottle design is stunning—looks amazing on my bar cart. I found it makes fantastic tropical cocktails, especially with a bit of coconut cream. Taking off one star because I personally would prefer if it were a bit less sweet, but that's just my preference. Still a high-quality product that I'll definitely buy again.

Ordered this because I love guava and was intrigued by the concept. The flavor is definitely authentic and not artificial, which I appreciate. However, I found it a bit too sweet for my personal taste, and I wish the actual rum character came through more strongly. It's good in mixed drinks with lime juice to balance the sweetness, but not quite what I was hoping for as a sipping rum.
